App Terms of Use
What you agree to when you use the Christchurch Miami app. We've kept it short and in plain words, because a document nobody reads protects nobody.

These terms cover the Christchurch Miami mobile app. Our website has its own terms. By using the app you agree to what follows.
Who We Are

Who Can Use It
Anyone can read the prayer wall, watch sermons and read the devotional. To post, you need to sign in with your email.
If you are under 13, a parent or guardian must give verified consent before you can have an account. A parent can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing us, and we will close the account and remove its content.
What You Post
You keep ownership of what you write. By posting, you give the church permission to display it in the app and on our website according to the visibility you chose — public, anonymous, or private.
Every request is read by a person before it appears. Nothing publishes automatically. That review usually happens the same day, but it is done by people, not machines, and not overnight.
When you post, you are confirming that:
- It is your own story to tell. If it names someone else, you have their permission.
- It is not abusive, harassing, or an attack on a person.
- You are not selling, soliciting, or campaigning.
- It is not someone else's copyrighted material.

Nothing Is Anonymous to Leadership
You can post so that your name never appears to the church. Our pastors, elders and staff can still see who wrote it. This is not surveillance — it is what lets someone reach out when a request suggests they should. Post as though a pastor will read it, because one will.
When We Remove Something
Church leadership may remove content that breaks these terms or the community guidelines. When we do, we will tell you, and tell you why.
You can ask us to look again — reply to that message or email jeff@christchurchmiami.org, and a pastor will review it. We get it wrong sometimes and we would rather hear about it.
Reporting and Blocking
Every request has a ⋯ menu with two options. You do not need an account to report something; you do need one to block someone.
Reporting takes the request off your wall straight away and sends it to the same people who read every request before it is posted. It does not take it off anyone else's wall — one report is not a veto over somebody else's prayer request, and only a moderator can remove something. The person who wrote it is never told who reported it.
One of the reasons is "someone may be in danger." That one is not a moderation complaint and is not treated as one: it goes to staff and elders immediately rather than waiting in a queue, and you will be shown a crisis number. Please use it when you mean it.
Blocking works both ways. If you block someone, neither of you sees the other's requests on the wall. They are not told. You can undo it under Me. Requests posted anonymously cannot be blocked, because doing so would tell you that two anonymous requests came from the same person — you can still report them.
If You Take Something Down
You can ask us to remove anything you posted, at any time, and we will.
Our pastors keep a copy so they can keep praying for you. If you would rather they did not, tell us and we will delete it entirely. We say this here because you should know it before you post, not after.
Giving
Giving happens on Church Center, operated by Planning Center — not inside this app. Those transactions are governed by Planning Center's terms and privacy policy, not ours. The church never sees or stores your card details.
Sermon Video
Sermons play through YouTube. Google's terms apply to what happens inside the player, including any comments shown there. Those comments are on YouTube's platform and are moderated by us there, not through this app.
Notifications
Notifications are off until you turn them on, and you choose what you get: the daily reading, reminders you set, replies to you, and messages from the church are four separate switches under Me → Notifications. Turning one off does not turn off the others.
Quiet hours are on by default, 9 PM to 7 AM. Two things still come through and we want to be plain about it: your daily reading at the time you chose, because you asked for it at that time, and anything urgent about someone's safety. Nothing else wakes you.
We keep a delivery code for your phone for as long as notifications are on. Turning them off, signing out, or deleting your account removes it. The church does not use notifications for advertising and does not sell them to anyone.
If Someone Is in Danger
The app may show crisis resources, including 988, the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. The app is not an emergency service and is not monitored around the clock. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911. If you are having thoughts of suicide or self-harm, call or text 988. Do not wait for a reply here.
What We Don't Promise
We provide the app as it is. We do not guarantee it will always be available or free of faults, and we are not responsible for what other members write. Prayer and pastoral care offered through this app are not a substitute for medical, legal, psychological, or financial advice from a qualified professional.
Ending Your Use
You can delete your account yourself, in the app, under Me → Delete my account. You do not have to ask anyone and you do not have to explain why.
That removes your prayer requests from the wall along with any notes on them, notes you sent to other people, your reading streak, and notifications to your phone. It does not remove your church record. Planning Center holds your giving history, your family and your membership, and that belongs to your relationship with this church rather than to this app — if you want that removed as well, the church office can do it. Prayers you offered for other people stay counted, because those counts were true when they were made and they belong to the people you prayed for.
See the privacy policy for everything we hold. We may suspend an account that repeatedly breaks these terms, and we will say why.
Changes
If we change these terms we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects what happens to what you have written, we will tell you in the app rather than relying on you to notice.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
