Every ancient culture has a flood story — so is Genesis just one more myth, or is something different going on?
The other flood stories don’t disprove Genesis — they show the whole ancient world remembered the flood. Only Genesis tells you what God was doing in it: judging a world gone wrong, and saving Noah Himself. Noah wasn’t saved by the ark or by his own skill — the Lord shut the door and kept him, and that same God still seals everyone who belongs to Him.

When God looks at a world this full of evil, what does He actually do about it?
He doesn’t shrug. God takes evil seriously enough to judge it — but He judges from a grieved heart, not a cold one. And He always makes a way through: Noah had the ark, and we have Jesus, who took the storm in our place.

Both brothers brought a sacrifice. Why did God accept Abel’s and not Cain’s?
God accepted Abel’s offering not because it was bigger, but because Abel gave it by faith while Cain gave to be owed something back. We can’t earn God’s acceptance by our works — we receive it by faith, through the one truly acceptable sacrifice, Jesus.
